Membership is available to all greater Tucson area residents over the age of 17 who enjoy singing the great masterworks of the choral repertoire. While an audition is not required, prior choral experience and the ability to read music is highly recommended. The ability to learn your music in a timely manner is of utmost importance.
Registration and Spring Rehearsals
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this Spring all rehearsals will be remote, online rehearsals using Zoom. Our Spring concert will be a “virtual” concert in which your recorded performance will be combined and blended with all other members of the choir to create audio and video for an online performance.
We do not have auditions for new members, just sign up! All members, new and returning, need to fill out the online registration form. Click on the link below (Registration Form for TMC), then fill out each section of the registration form and press submit. When you finish the registration form and submit it, the link to the online dues payment site will be displayed. Click on this link to pay your Spring membership dues, if you have not paid for the full year already. Select Spring 2021 Registration – ONLY, click on Add to Cart, and then click on Checkout. Please note that producing a virtual concert video costs lots of money, and we still are paying our Artistic Director and accompanist to make all of this happen. In addition, we will probably not have as much ticket revenue as a live concert, so your dues are sorely needed.
Spring 2021 Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held each Monday evening, late August to early May, from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., online via Zoom. You can find the link to the Zoom rehearsal on the Singers Only page.
Rehearsals for our Spring 2021 concert begin Monday, January 11.
Since the Chorale is supported almost entirely by dues and donations from members and friends, dues (currently $170 per year or $90 per term inclusive of music) are required. Please see the Members Page for more details!
Once you’ve decided to join us, you can pay by check (by mail), or credit card: pay online.
Scholarships are available. To inquire, please contact the President.
The required concert dress ensures that the Chorale as a group presents a uniform appearance. More detailed information on ordering, cost, sizing and style will be available at the first rehearsal.
White long-sleeved dress shirt; black bowtie; black tuxedo (no tails), or black suit or dress slacks with suit coat/jacket; black socks and shoes. Note: Brown, gray, charcoal, or blue suits are not acceptable.
