Artistic Team

Luke Diamond
Artistic Director
Luke Diamond is a conductor, composer, baritone, and pianist based in Tucson, Arizona. He currently serves as music director for the Tucson Masterworks Chorale and Christ Presbyterian Church and works in the Catalina Foothills School District. He also performs as a pianist and vocalist at Tucson’s Gaslight Theatre and as a Music Director at Arts Express Theatre. He co-hosted the 2025 Tucson Big Sing presented by the Arizona Choral Arts Association.
Luke’s compositional output consists of a wide variety of musical genres, with a particular focus on choral music, opera, and musical theatre. His current project, Breathing in the Awe, is a choral album inspired by U.S. national parks, which the Tucson Masterworks Chorale will premiere in Spring 2026. The project reflects a fascination with nature and Luke’s desire to celebrate the beauty and wonder of these parks through music.
Luke holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from West Virginia University, with additional conducting studies at Westminster Choir College and Bard College.

Youngeun Kim
Assistant Director
Youngeun Kim, a native of South Korea, is a third-year doctoral student in choral conducting at the University of Arizona. Currently, she is the music director at First United Methodist Church and the assistant conductor at Tucson Masterworks Chorale.
Youngeun was selected by audition as one of four conductors for the 2025 ACDA National Conference Conducting Masterclass. At the same conference, she also presented at a poster session titled From Oppression to Expression: Exploring Colonial-Era Poetry in Korean Choral Works. She received a fellowship to attend the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival–Yale Summer School of Music Choral Conducting Workshop and was accepted into the Cascade Conducting Choral Masterclass with Dr. Geoffrey Boers in 2025.
Youngeun holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Ewha Woman’s University in South Korea, where she also earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. She later received a second Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Louisville.

Larry Sill
Director of the Masterworks Chamber Singers
Larry Sill was raised by music-teaching parents. He has conducted various vocal and instrumental ensembles, including jazz bands and even barbershop quartets. A music and business major in college, he honed his choral conducting skills studying with Dr. David Strickler at Albion College.
For the past 20 years, Larry has directed church choirs and small ensembles in northern California and most recently was the associate director for the Monterey (CA) Peninsula Voices. He and his wife, Karen, retired to Tucson in 2020 and are delighted to find a musical home with TMC.

Hsin-Chih Chang
Accompanist
Born and raised in Taiwan, Hsin-Chih Chang moved to New York City in 2012. She earned her Master of Music at the Manhattan School of Music, where she worked as a staff piano accompanist. She then taught in New York and Illinois before moving to Tucson in 2017.
Since then, Chang has performed at the Tucson Brass Workshop, Az Corno Con Concert, TóCALO Tucson Festival, Choral Educators Choral Festivals, Northern Arizona University Vocal Jazz Madrigal Festival, the University of Arizona Double Reed Day, and many others.
Currently, she is the accompanist at Congregation Beit Simcha and is employed as the OMA Arts Integration Specialist at Tucson Unified School District.
